As an Air Force psychologist, Dr. Rella consulted with security forces on topics such as suicide prevention, hostage negotiation, alcohol-related incident prevention, and stress management; he evaluated candidates for military police positions and assessed candidates seeking security clearance for other security-sensitive roles. Since assuming ownership of Cary Psychology in 2008, he has conducted thousands of evaluations for state law enforcement and public safety agencies. Dr. Rella is a member of the American Psychological Association, the North Carolina Psychological Association, and the Society for Police and Criminal Psychology.
