It's A Different World! Attending an HBCU - Aisha Young - Armstrong 257A

Aisha Young is a native of Colorado and graduate of Lewis-Palmer High School. She also attended the first AAYLC when it became co-ed in the late 90’s. In 2002, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in gerontology. In 2008, she graduated with her masters in aging studies from the University of South Florida. Currently, she is a candidate for graduation from the Institute of Black Catholic Studies at Xavier University of Louisiana. Aisha is very civically engaged. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Incorporated, she helps with the Seniors on Saturday program. She is also active in the Colorado Springs Diocese and the current president of the Colorado Springs Council for Black Catholics. Though Aisha is clearly a fan of the geriatric population, the best part of her day is spending time with her daughter!
