Derric Thomas has a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and works as a clinic supervisor of an Adult Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic, where he oversees physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and administrative staff at UCHealth Memorial Hospital. Derric, known as Dr. T, is a military veteran and has been in the medical field since 1997. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration in healthcare leadership. He has won awards in leadership throughout his military, healthcare, and community leader roles. His sense of purpose is driven by faith and his mindset of lifelong learning for personal growth and professional development. In his downtime, Dr. T dedicates his time to his wife and two children. He also serves as Youth Pastor for the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church and provides leadership in his organization’s DEI Committee. He is currently completing his therapeutic pain science specialty, which will allow him to use this knowledge to educate the community about pain mechanisms so they may be able to function without the fear of pain. Dr. T believes “Exposure provides expectations, and we don’t know what we don’t know, and when we know, we GROW!”
