Dr. Ameer E. Hassan is a triple board-certified neurologist who specializes in Stroke, Neurocritical care and Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology. Dr. Hassan is Head of the Neuroscience Department and a Professor of Neurology and Radiology at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He serves as the Director of Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology and Clinical Neuroscience Research at the Valley Baptist Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Hassan is known and recognized for his research in artificial intelligence, advanced imaging, antiplatelet use, advanced aneurysm and AVM treatment as well as intracranial stenting. He has published over 250 papers. Dr. Hassan is the President of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN), previous Chair of the American Academy of Neurology.
