Dr. Zurab Nadareishvili is Professor of Neurology at The George Washington University and Medical Director of Comprehensive Stroke Center at Virginia Hospital Center Health, Arlington, VA.
Dr. Nadareishvili is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty certification in vascular neurology by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed his neurology training at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington DC and vascular neurology fellowship at National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, NIH, Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Nadareishvili has significant research contributions to the field of vascular neurology as he co-authored 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts published in in major medical peer-reviewed journals. Areas of his research interest include acute stroke MRI and blood transcriptomics, as well as epidemiology of post-stroke cognitive impairment.
Dr. Nadareishvili is recipient of several honors and awards including Canadian Stroke Society Prize, NIH Fogarty International Center Fellowship award, Department Health and Human Service Award, and Johns Hopkins Medicine Best Consulting Physician Award.
