Ossama mansour, MSc, MD, PhD, FINR, FSVIN, FWSO,FESO, is Professor of clinical and interventional neurology in the department of Neurology at the Medical school of Alexandria., stroke and neurointervention unit. Dr. Mansour is a double qualified neuroradiologist and Neurologist with special training in vascular neurology and interventional neuroradiology. His focus and emphasis is taking care of patients with neurovascular diseases and stroke. He is the founder and current President of Middle east north Africa stroke and interventional neurotherapeutics organization (MENA-SINO) and executive board member of SVIN.
Dr. Mansour’s research interests are related to endovascular outcome research, to assess the efficacy and safety of new treatments of neurovascular diseases and clinical trial design as well as medical devices research , stroke , aneurysm and AVM treatment.
Dr mansour published about 130 of researches articles in high ranked journals.And he is involved in Editorial and reviewing work of most of them. Dr Mansour is Executive Board Member of SVIN , current President of MENA-SINO and Fellow Member of ESO , WSO , EBNI. Dr Mansour received a lot of national and international awards in stroke and neurointerventional field.
Dr. Mansour’s mission is to provide the best care possible for patients with cerebrovascular diseases including but not limited to stroke, carotid artery occlusive disease, brain aneurysms and cerebral vascular malformations, Spinal interventions , and percutenous pain therapies _. This care encompasses both prevention and treatment with endovascular and neurointerventional treatment such as aneurysm coiling, stroke lysis, placement of carotid or intracranial stents, and balloon angioplasty.
