Candice Mead serves as a Domestic Case Manager with Utah's Fourth District Court, where she oversees the management of a high-volume domestic relations calendar and works closely with judges, commissioners, attorneys, and court staff to ensure cases are processed efficiently and in accordance with court rules and procedures. Her experience spans every stage of case management, including filings, scheduling, judicial review, courtroom operations, and communication with both represented and self-represented parties. Candice has a passion for improving court operations through standardized procedures, staff training, and process improvement initiatives. She regularly collaborates with judicial officers and court personnel to develop consistent practices that promote efficiency and enhance public service. Through her daily work, she has developed a unique perspective on the practical challenges attorneys and court staff face and the small changes that can significantly improve communication and case flow. Candice and her team at the Fourth District Courthouse have also been tremendous supporters of the Utah Chapter of AFCC and have played an essential role in helping the Chapter host its annual Mediation Day in Provo. From coordinating courthouse logistics to working with judges, court staff, mediators, and participants, Candice's behind-the-scenes support has helped make this award-winning and internationally acclaimed event possible. Simply put, Utah AFCC's Mediation Day would not be the success it is without Candice and the extraordinary support of the Fourth District Court team. Outside of work, Candice enjoys spending time with her family, serving in her community, tackling DIY home improvement projects, and, every now and then, unwinding with a good reality TV binge. She believes that balancing meaningful work with family, service, and a little lighthearted entertainment helps keep life in perspective.
