Dr. Garber is a New Hampshire licensed psychologist with more than 35 years of experience understanding and serving the needs of children and families. He restricts his practice to forensic evaluation, consultation, and expert testimony, and his work is grounded in helping parents, professionals, and courts better understand child development and family dynamics while keeping children’s needs first. Dr. Garber is the author of hundreds of popular press, law review, and peer-reviewed publications, numerous book chapters, and ten books addressing child and family development, divorce, and family law. He is also the founder and creator of DEFUSEdivorce.com, a resource designed to help custody litigants better understand the legal process and related services. Dr. Garber is a frequent and popular speaker at AFCC conferences around the globe and is widely respected for bringing research, humor, clarity, and child-focused wisdom to some of the most difficult issues in family court practice.
