Renee Spath-Espiau is the Complete Streets Administrator for the City and County of Honolulu and has been involved in implementing the City’s Complete Streets law since its adoption in 2012. She previously helped to establish and manage the City’s TransitOriented Development (TOD) Program within the Department of Planning and Permitting. Prior to returning to Hawaiʻi, Renee was a Senior Transportation Associate at the Project for Public Spaces in New York City and a Senior Planner at the New Jersey State Department of Transportation. She holds a master’s degree from New York University, a Bachelor’s from the University of Oregon, and was born and raised on Maui.
