Kawika Winter is a tenured Associate Professor at Hawaiʻi Institute of Marine Biology (HIMB), and in that capacity acts as the Director of the Heʻeia National Estuarine Research Reserve. He was a co-PI on the development of HIMB's Mālama ʻĀina Plan.
