The Hawaiʻi Water Plan Framework Update: Supporting the Integration of Water and Land Use Planning

Daniel Orodenker holds a Law Degree from the University of San Diego and is a member of the Hawaiʻi Bar. In the 1980s, he practiced administrative and land use law in Honolulu. In the early 1990s, he became Director of the Honolulu Waterfront Program, Executive Director of the Aloha Tower Development Corporation, and Development Assistant to the Director of DBEDT. In 1996, he became Director of the Hawaiʻi Natural Heritage Program with The Nature Conservancy of Hawaiʻi. He later joined Swarovski’s Crystal Architectural Division in Austria, supporting international business development. After returning to Hawaiʻi, he worked again with Aloha Tower Development Corporation and opened his own consulting firm specializing in business development and land use entitlements. Since 2012 he has been the Executive Director of the State Land Use
Commission.
