Alana Kobayashi Pakkala is CEO and Partner at Kobayashi Group, a Honolulu‑based development firm. She has been with the company for over 19 years. She oversees architecture, interior design, pro forma, and construction management, as well as sales and marketing. Since 2001, she has led luxury condominium projects, including Park Lane Ala Moana, ONE Ala Moana, Hokua, and Capitol Place, and introduced KG’s Luxury Spec Home division with developments such as Kūkiʻo Homes and the Hokua Aliʻi penthouse. She is also steering affordable housing projects, such as Kapolei Kai and Alder Street. A Punahou graduate, she earned a cum laude B.A. in English literature and psychology from Georgetown University. She serves on the boards of the Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women and Children and Oʻahu Transit Services. She has been honored as a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi.
