Genevieve Hilliard Sullivan is the Resilience Coordinator and Project Manager at the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation’s Office of Energy Security and Community Outreach. She manages the Energy Security & Waste Reduction Plan and helps implement the Navahine v. HDOT settlement, which affirms the right to a clean and healthful environment. Her work centers on community-based, Indigenous-informed, and nature-based transportation solutions. Previously, she worked in HDOT’s Planning Branch on resilience projects, permit reviews, and led the Transportation Alternatives SetAside Program. She is a certified planner with a master’s in environmental policy and planning from Lincoln University, New Zealand.
