Ron Whitmore PhD, AICP, is a Principal with Raimi + Associates, a mission-driven planning firm focused on fostering healthy, equitable, and resilient communities. For 13 years, Ron played senior leadership roles in Hawaiʻi County, including as Principal Planner and Interim Manager of the Planning Department’s Long Range Division and as Deputy Director of Research and Development. In those roles, he led programs focused on the General Plan, community development plans, climate change, energy, and disaster recovery. He is currently leading the Central Maui Community Plan update and the Ewa Development Plan update.
