Tim Streitz serves as the Lead Transit-Oriented
Development (TOD) Planner at the City and
County of Honolulu's Department of Planning
and Permitting, where he plays a pivotal role
in shaping sustainable urban environments.
Tim's expertise encompasses a broad spectrum
of urban and community development
projects, particularly in the realm of economic
development. His work not only focuses on
enhancing neighborhood connectivity and
accessibility but also emphasizes the importance
of affordable housing through innovative policy
solutions. In his current role, Tim oversees the
TOD program, managing a dedicated team
while also engaging in project management and
contract oversight. His leadership is instrumental
in drafting key ordinances and resolutions,
including the island wide affordable housing
requirement, which aims to address the pressing
need for housing in the region.
