Alec Bernstein is a Senior Managing Consultant for Climate Resilience at ICF with over 14 years of experience as a climate change and water resources consultant, engineer, and entrepreneur. At ICF, Alec leads a team helping clients understand climate vulnerabilities and develop tools to support sustainable adaptation. Alec has led projects for state and local governments, utilities, development banks, and private companies. He developed the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s most recent Climate Impact Assessment and works with the Philadelphia Water Department developing and implementing their first climate change design guidance which includes strategies for managing sea level rise risks. He previously consulted for the World Bank assessing climate change risk and designs for water infrastructure projects in Africa. Alec holds masters and bachelors degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
