Kalbert Young is currently the Vice President for Budget and Finance and the Chief Financial Officer of the University of Hawai‘i System, a position he has held since early 2015. He served as the director of the Department of Finance for the State of Hawai‘i for four years from 2011 to 2014, and as the director of finance for the Maui County from 2004 to 2010. He also previously worked for the Kapalua Land Co. and Kamehameha Schools. He earned a bachelor’s degree in American History and a Masters of Business Administration, both from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
