The Hawaiʻi Water Plan Framework Update: Supporting the Integration of Water and Land Use Planning

Katie Roth Katie Roth is the Hydrologic Planning
Program Manager with the State of Hawaiʻi,
Department of Land and Natural Resources,
Commission on Water Resource Management
(CWRM). Katie began her career at DLNR in 2011
working for CWRM and then as a Watershed
Planner with the Division of Forestry and Wildlife
where she coordinated statewide protection
efforts for Hawaiʻi’s native forests and mauka
watersheds working closely with groups like the
Watershed Partnerships. Today, Katie leads a
team at CWRM that does comprehensive water
resource planning and implements policies
that help protect and regulate the State’s fresh
water resources. She has B.A. in Urban Studies
and Planning from the University of California,
San Diego and a Master’s Degree in Urban and
Regional Planning from the University of Hawaiʻi
at Mānoa.
