Mary Alice Evans is the director of the Office of State Planning and Sustainable Development. She serves as the co-chair of the Transit-Oriented Development Council and the State Commission on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation. She served on the Honolulu City Planning Commission. She has worked for the State of Hawai’i in various departments, most recently as deputy director of DBEDT. Mary Alice earned a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning at UH-Manoa and served as APA-Hawai’i Chapter President for two terms.
