Dre Kalili has served as HDOT Deputy Director of Transportation for Harbors since 2022, overseeing the state’s commercial ports. Key port priorities include building for resilience, securing federal funding for infrastructure upgrades, and completing capital improvement projects and land acquisitions to boost capacity and reduce congestion. Dre has led the development of digital twin models for 30 Speaker Bios 2025 HCPO Speaker Bios 31 port facilities statewide to support resilience planning, secured over $120+ million in federal grants, executed Hawai‘i’s first ever sister port agreement with the Port of Long Beach, supported staff professional development, and participated in international peer exchanges including a US DOT port workshop in Brunei. She has 20 years of experience with the State of Hawai‘i and City and County of Honolulu and holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and Russian language.
