Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention

Leigh Ann Fulford is a certified trainer in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST through LivingWorks) and is a trained presenter for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP’s) various suicide programs. She is the Creator/Director of two non-profits: CARE Walk (for uninsured and underserved breast cancer survivors) and SAVE US Dayton (for suicide prevention). She helped start and grow the AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention in Dayton, OH. She is a member of the Suicide Prevention Committee with ADAMHS Prevention Coalition, a Member of the LGBTQ Alliance in Dayton, and a member of the founding team creating David’s Place (a safe space and shelter for homeless LGBTQ youth in Dayton). She serves as the Director of Community Outreach with the Dayton Society of Artists. She creates stained glass mosaics and works as a freelance technical/business writer. She is a Suicide Loss Survivor, having lost her sister 15 years ago.
