Lois Hall has over 40 years in the field of Public Health, including being the first in Ohio to work with HIV/AIDS in the early 1980s. During that time, Lois became interested in the topic of grief as a Public Health Issue and became trained in providing Grief Recovery Method programs in her community. Subsequently, she was invited to become a national trainer for the GRI in 2001, and in 2016 was invited to work for the Institute in the areas of specialist support, quality assurance/improvement, and research. Lois has her BS in Biology from Bowling Green State University and her MS in Preventive Medicine from The Ohio State University. Over the years Lois has spoken at, and moderated the International Grief Recovery Conference; was the keynote speaker at the Ohio Health Trauma System’s Annual Conference in 2018, and was one of the few to address a school gymnasium full of parents and community members when their first child was seeking admission to kindergarten in the early AIDS days. She has also spoken to numerous other professional and community groups on various Public Health and Grief-related topics.
