Michael Sequeira of Toller Technical Services Inc. brings over 20 years of experience in the fire alarm and life safety industry. This includes design and project management of fire alarm installations and special hazards detection and protection in facilities ranging from condominium towers, schools, arenas, data centres, telecom facilities, office buildings, aircraft hangars, and large storage freezers to name a few. Currently based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Michael has previously worked in Southern Ontario and Alberta. This wide range of environments allows insight into the varying challenges and requirements throughout the different regions. He has a firm understanding of Building and Fire Codes throughout Canada. The CAN/ULC-S1001 Standard for Integrated Testing of Life Safety Systems came into effect with the 2015 edition of the National Building Code. This standard takes a wholistic view of the correct operation of all the life safety system integrations in a facility. In 2020, Michael became ULC certified as an Integrated Testing Co-ordinator and in 2022 headed up the ULC certification process for one of the companies he works with to become an Integrated Testing Service Provider.
