Howard Dawber OBE is the Deputy Mayor of London for Business and Growth, appointed in December 2023. He also serves as Chair of London & Partners, the capital’s official promotional agency. With over 30 years of experience in business, Howard spent 17 years as Managing Director for Strategy at Canary Wharf Group, where he played a key role in the development of the Elizabeth Line and supported the 2012 Olympic bid and legacy. He has led commercial investment projects across tech, health, life sciences, and financial services, and has been actively involved in organisations such as Business LDN, The City UK, and the London Chamber of Commerce. Howard is a trustee of The Line art walk and a patron of UK Youth and the East End Community Foundation. He also chairs Labour Friends of Bangladesh and Labour Friends of the USA
