Alice Wilcock is Assistant Director of the Civil Society and Sport unit at the Greater London Authority (GLA). Alice is also the Senior Responsible Owner of the Mayor's Supporting and Inspiring Young London Mandate work, the Mayor's work with young Londoners and his commitment to provide 250,000 positive opportunities by the end of the Mayoral term. Alice’s team covers volunteering and social action and using volunteering as a way of bringing Londoners together. She also leads on Community Sports including the Go! London programme and relationships with Civil Society infrastructure organisations across London. Alice has substantial experience of working in collaboration with significant Mayoral and London stakeholders, including leading Mayoral participation in London Community Response and Propel. Alice joined the GLA in 2016 from the Community Development Foundation (CDF), where she was Director of Partnerships and Innovation. Her role included working with community groups on local social action, managing multimillion-pound programme Community First for Office of Civil Society and delivering training and consultancy to a variety of cross sector clients. Prior to joining CDF Alice worked for Barclays, where she headed their Community Affairs programme, covering community sponsorship and staff volunteering. Alice has had multiple volunteering roles, including Trusteeships, with a particular focus on mental health. She is currently a Director of the Collaboration Circle.
