Joe Henry is the Executive Director of Lake of the Woods Tourism. He drives all marketing, advertising, promotions, and special events for Lake of the Woods Tourism and is an award-winning marketer, writer, speaker, and TV host. Joe currently serves on the board of directors for the MN Tourism Association, Hospitality MN, MN-FISH and is the current Vice President of the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers. Joe was the MN Tourism Professional of the year in 2022 awarded by Explore Minnesota and was also most recently awarded the 2023 Roger Toussaint award, the highest honor bestowed by the MN Tourism Association. Joe works closely with over 60 lodging facilities and a variety of stakeholders including Explore Minnesota, area fishing guides, Coast Guard, US Customs and Border Protection, Canada Border Services Agency, Canadian Consulate, MN DNR, local, state, and federal legislators just to name a few. Joe is a licensed charter captain, a tournament angler, has a BS degree in Management from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN where he played four years of college football and has an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, OH.
