Beth has been the director of Discover the Range since 2012. She started her career in northern Minnesota as a newspaper reporter, moved on to work at northern Minnesota advertising agencies, and then served as marketing coordinator at Minnesota Discovery Center. Along the way she got married, had a daughter, got divorced and now lives with her elderly cocker spaniel in Hibbing. She serves on a bunch of boards, including the Minnesota Tourism Association, represents the northeast on the Explore Minnesota Tourism Council, and represents District I on the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission. She has at least *tried* almost every outdoor activity offered in the northland, but her favorites are kayaking, cross-country skiing, hiking, camping and ice fishing.
