George Houston, as chair of the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, helped defeat Amendment 2, a 1992 ballot measure that sought to block anti-discrimination laws for LGBTQ people. As principal of Wasson High School, he pioneered Block Scheduling nationwide, enhancing student success. He won a key 1992 First Amendment rights case for Colorado�s School District 11 and led the Deluxe Corporation�s Diversity Council, driving industry-wide adoption of their diversity strategy. Houston also works with organizations like the Center for Creative Leadership to advance people of color to executive positions in Fortune 500 companies.
