Identifying Personal Biases for Language Acquisition and Creating an Inclusive Culture for Multilingual Learners-A242
1:10 PM - 2:20 PM Sat
After graduating from college, Dallana Alvarado moved to Denver for a chance to work at New Legacy, and after working for a year in the onsite ELC. Alvarado saw a need to go back to school and learn how to better be a teacher for the culturally and linguistically diverse student population. In August 2022, she graduated with her MA in Curriculum, Instruction, and Critical Pedagogy with an Emphasis on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. Alvarado is still working at NL on trying to create a welcoming environment for the increasing number of migrant students.
