Candice Rucker McKnight is a detective of ancestral genealogy and a tireless advocate for preserving African American history and culture. From her early work with the Pikes Peak Library District and the Family History Center to founding the African American Genealogical Society of Colorado in 2000, Candice has devoted her life to connecting people with their heritage. As a leader, community historian, and founder of the African American Museum in Colorado Springs, she continues to inspire efforts to ensure history lives on for future generations.
