Dr Kevin Lee is a Specialist Physician and Endocrinologist at the Victorian Endocrine Clinic and
Monash Medical Centre and conducts research at Monash University.
His research interest primarily looks at the role of stress and how it affects metabolism. His
research has been awarded the Diabetes Australia Research Establishment Grant from the Royal
College of Physicians as well as the Young Scientist of The Year by the Endocrine Society of
Australia.
His work on metabolism has lead him to sub-specialize in weight management in a
multidisciplinary clinic set up at Caulfield that involves exercise physiologist, psychologists and
dietitians. He is studying the role of mindfulness in altering metabolism and believes that when
it comes to weight management, a multidisciplinary and holistic approach spanning medication
to meditation is necessary.
