I am an educator and leader with over nineteen years of experience in public education. I served as a bilingual classroom teacher for eleven years and spent eight years in educational administration. I am currently honored to serve as the President of ABE_NM, an organization I have proudly supported for the past nine years.
Throughout my time with ABE_NM, I have served in multiple leadership roles, including Member at Large, Secretary, Vice President, and now President. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to collaborative leadership and advocacy.
I am a passionate advocate for bilingual education and for addressing educational inequities that impact bilingual and multilingual students. I am dedicated to promoting equitable opportunities, inclusive practices, and policies that honor students’ linguistic and cultural assets.
It is both my passion and my responsibility to advocate for bilingual education and to work toward more just and equitable educational opportunities for all students.
