The Indigenous Food Sovereignty Emerging Leaders Program (IFSELP) is a capacity-building initiative that supports emerging leaders in advancing community-driven food sovereignty efforts rooted in Indigenous knowledge, culture, and land-based practices. This presentation highlights how IFSELP strengthens leadership, builds skills, and supports the development of sustainable, culturally grounded food systems that promote community wellness. In partnership, AIPHRC walks alongside Tribal and community leaders to build meaningful collaborations, provide technical assistance, and support the growth of locally led food sovereignty initiatives. Together, these efforts strengthen food access, revitalize traditional food practices, and address public health disparities through approaches grounded in self-determination and community resilience.
