Garrett Jackson serves as Vice President of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) at Devon Energy, where he leads enterprise-wide strategies to strengthen safety culture, environmental performance, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management. With more than two decades of leadership experience in upstream energy operations, Garrett brings a unique perspective to EHS — combining deep technical expertise in drilling and operations with a strong commitment to protecting people, communities, and the environment. Prior to his current role, he served as Vice President of Operations and EHS and as Vice President of Drilling, Completions, and Well Construction Technology, where safety performance and operational excellence were foundational priorities. Garrett is passionate about building high-reliability teams, advancing safety leadership at every level of the organization, and integrating performance data to drive continuous improvement. His work focuses on ensuring that safety is not just a priority, but a core value embedded in every decision and process. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and has built his career in drilling, petroleum engineering, and onshore upstream operations.
