Bringing gender justice and development effectiveness into climate finance

Josaia is a development worker, author and activist who works as the Deputy Executive Director/Programme Manager for the Pacific Islands Association of Non-governmental Organisation (PIANGO)- a regional NGO with members and networks in 24 Pacific Island Countries and Territories. He joined PIANGO in 2018 as a Research and Policy Advocacy Officer; in 2019, he took on the role as a Policy Advocacy and Research Officer before being appointed as the Deputy Executive Director/Programme Manager in 2020. Apart from managing all of PIANGO’s programs in the Pacific, his area of expertise includes conducting research on localisation of humanitarian response in Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands.
