Hannah Joyce is the director of membership and education programs at the Playwrights' Center in Minneapolis, supporting over 2500 playwrights around the country and abroad. From 2017 to 2022 she was also the producing artistic director of the William Inge Theater Festival in Kansas, celebrating the distinguished work of Lynn Nottage, Octavio Solis, and Carlyle Brown. Hannah has developed the new work of some the country’s finest playwrights over the past two decades. She is an advisory member of Free Play Society and Queen City New Play Initiative. Originally from St. Louis, Hannah has worked and performed with a number of theater companies throughout the Midwest, including the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, St. Louis Shakespeare Company, That Uppity Theater Company, and Prison Performing Arts. Hannah’s work centers around supporting playwrights at every level, creating meaningful connections for writers, and advocating for playwrights. Hannah's education/training includes: BA Wheaton College and Lincoln Center Education teaching artist certification. She is an arts advocate, theater artist, and producer.
