Dr. April Nelsen is a clinical coordinator and clinical assistant professor of MLS at SDSU. She has been an ASCP-certified MLS for over 15 years and completed her M.S. in microbiology from SDSU in 2015, followed by her Ph.D. in molecular biology from SDSU in 2022 while remaining in her faculty position. She also works as a medical laboratory professional in a hospital setting.
