Giorgia Chinazzo obtained her Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne in 2019. She earned her double M.Sc. degree in Building Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino and Politecnico di Milano graduating with honors in 2014, after following an ad-hoc program for students selected based on their academic merits, the �Alta Scuola Politecnica�. Giorgia has worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Northwestern University, since 2019 and she is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the same department. Her expertise lies at the intersection of Building Science, Social Science, and Data Science. Her research aims to improve the well-being, health, and performance of people in the built environment through the conceptual development, investigation, and application of new technologies, tools, and frameworks.
