Light and emotions: the importance of context

Born in Mexico city, studied a Bachelor in Architecture in UNAM, Mexico and then did a Master in Lighting Design in KTH, Sweden. After that, she returned to Mexico where she worked for a coupleof lighting design firms before adventuring on her own. She did several projects, both lighting and architecture, on her own or in partnership with bigger lighting, architecture or construction offices. In 2017 She began her career as a lighting teacher in the career of Interior architecture in IDAC, Mexico and then in Michael Faraday University, Mexico. She has taught Lighting, Color theory, Window displays, Graphic representation, Architecture theory, Investigation and Project workshop among other coourses. In 2020 she began studying the Master in Architecture in UNAM with "Light and emotions" as her research subject. Nowadays she has a podcast called "Hablando luz" in which she talks everything related to light, and interviews experts from different areas, from science to art and lighting design. She teaches Investigation workshop in Michael Faraday University and is about to conclude her Master thesis. She keeps working as a lighting designer whe she is able to.
