Investigating Lighting Design for Improved Alertness
2:15 PM - 3:15 PM Sat
Alexander J. Price is a recent MS graduate from Operational Sciences Dept of AFIT Graduate School of Engineering & Management with thesis research focus in applying models of circadian stimulus to explore ideal lighting configurations. He is currently an Infrastructure Sustainment, Recapitalization, & Modernization Analysis Manager. As a U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant he has over 12 years of experience in civil engineering units primarily focused on lighting. Working on numerous construction projects for hospitals and other facilities performing 24/7 operations, some with no natural lighting, initiated his journey to exploration of the non-visual effects of light.
