Dr. Palina Louangketh is passionate about forging strategic alliances through creative approaches to impact pathways for communities to sustain optimal health and wellbeing. She holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree from Regent University, School of Business and Leadership (Virginia Beach, VA) with a concentration in Strategic Foresight. In her role as Chief of the Bureau of Equity of Strategic Partnerships in the Division of Public Health at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, she provides leadership over five public health programs – Suicide Prevention and Drug Overdose Prevention Programs, Refugee Health Screening Program, Strategy and Innovation, and Get Healthy Idaho. An alumna from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Health Science, she also teaches at Boise State’s College of Health Sciences and University Foundations Program. Dr. Louangketh designed a set of multicultural studies courses referred to as the Global Diaspora Curriculum in which she launched and taught at Boise State Honors College pre-COVID era. This curriculum has since taken on an international presence in which she is part of a multinational European university network to co-design a framework for a new European university. As a seasoned healthcare and public health leader, Dr. Louangketh has a solid 25 years of experience in strategic leadership, change management, and quality improvement and performance management.
