Merody Mejia attended Barnard College of Columbia University and graduated with a BA in Economics. Soon after college, Merody started working with Kaplan Tutoring, where her love for education and business were combined in the Academics Manager position. In 2012, she joined Children's Aid at PS 152 in Washington Heights as the Program Director for the Afterschool and Summer Program. Presently, Merody is the Community School Director at Dunbar Middle School in collaboration with Children’s Aid and the NYC Office of Community Schools. Merody focuses her work on Chronic Absenteeism, Social/Emotional Development, increasing family engagement and developing programs and services for the school and community.
