Michael Murphy is the junior partner and manager at Childstock Farms, Inc., located in Franklin County. The farm grows certified seed potatoes for the chip, fresh, processing and specialty markets across North America. Additionally, the farm produces leafy greens, including cilantro, kale, collards, and turnip greens. After graduating, Michael worked as a crop consultant and branch manager at Nutrien Ag Solutions in western New York for three years. In April 2020, he transitioned to full-time production agriculture, relocating to the Adirondack Mountain region with his wife, Theresa, to join Childstock Farms. He became a business partner with Ralph in 2021. Michael is vice president of Franklin County Farm Bureau and represents District 7 on the state board of directors.
