Revd. Dr Sheila A. Belgrave is a dynamic and anointed servant of God, known for her powerful preaching, unwavering faith, and commitment to serving both the Church and wider community. She is an ordained Minister and Trustee at NewDay Ministries Church UK, where she faithfully supports spiritual growth and community outreach. A national and international preacher, lecturer, counsellor, and motivational speaker, Sheila is passionate about ensuring the Church remains relevant and impactful in today’s society. She brings over 40 years of experience in senior leadership within the Civil Service and Government—where she served as CEO and held multiple Director-level roles—and integrates this wealth of knowledge into her ministry and Kingdom work.
Sheila has served as a non-executive director and Trustee on numerous boards, and she is currently a director at a homeless charity. Her leadership extends to the community through several initiatives that she chairs, focusing on mental health, domestic abuse, and homelessness.
A passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, Sheila co-founded EmpowHer to Rise and Soul Sisters Ministries, outreach ministries dedicated to supporting women through practical help and spiritual healing of body, soul, and mind.
She is the founder and principal consultant of SAB Consultancy, working with public and private sector organisations to lead transformation in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, as well as strategic development and organisational change. As a prison chaplain and member of a prison fellowship, Sheila brings hope and restoration to incarcerated individuals. She is also a theological educator, lecturing in Church History, New Testament Studies, and Eschatology at Calvary Theological College.
Her international outreach includes a sponsorship programme in Mombasa, Kenya, and she will be launching a vocational school there in November 2024 to equip young people with education, skills, and hope for the future.
What makes Sheila truly distinctive is her steadfast dedication to reaching the vulnerable, the overlooked, and those in need of spiritual guidance. Her life is anchored in Christ, with every endeavour driven by a deep sense of God-given purpose. Inspired by the legacy of her mother, the late Revd Dr Io Smith MBE, she lives by the words: *“Only what you do for Christ will last.”*Sheila holds an MBA in Strategic Management, a BA in Theology & Ministry, a BA in Humanities, a Postgraduate Certificate in Kingdom Theology, and a Doctorate in Ministry and Theology. She is a devoted mother to three beautiful daughters and a proud grandmother of five.
