Tim is a partner at the law firm of Cannon Heyman & Weiss, LLP concentrating his legal practice in affordable housing and community development law utilizing tax-driven development incentives such as federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits and New Markets Tax Credits, New York State Historic Tax Credits, New York State Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (both certificated and allocated), and New York State Brownfield Tax Credits. Tim represents not-for-profit and for-profit real estate developers, lenders, tax credit investors, community development entities, leverage lenders, qualified active low-income community businesses and individuals in a wide-ranging variety of community development endeavors.
Tim brings a creative and straightforward approach in structuring transactions for his clients to maximize financing efficiency and proceeds in the face of ever-growing tax and regulatory complexities of subsidized real estate development.
