Carder Brooks is from a small town in Central Texas. He came to Lubbock for school and received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating as a member of the Order of the Coif. He also received a Master of Science in biotechnology from Texas Tech University's Health Sciences Center.
During school, Carder worked as an Intellectual Property Analyst with Texas Tech’s Office of Research Commercialization, analyzing various inventions for patentability. He also took and passed the USPTO Registration Examination and is a registered Patent Attorney. Carder is currently General Counsel and Secretary for GAP Peptides, LLC. His duties include managing the company's growing IP portfolio and advising the company on all legal affairs, including contracts, operations, and governance. Carder is also involved in general business development and synthesizes peptides in the company's state-of-the-art laboratory. In his free time, Carder enjoys writing and playing music and spending time with family and friends.
