Maya is the Charge Ahead Campaign Coordinator at Communities for a Better Environment, a state-wide clean and equitable transportation campaign. Maya's previous experience includes transportation research, tenant lead exposure and toxins advocacy, along with just transition and labor advocacy. Maya played a leadership role in the passage of the Los Angeles LAX Corridor Living Wage ordinance and the Los Angeles County Lead Poisoning Prevention partnership project. Maya is passionate about environmental justice, clean air advocacy and finding innovative approaches to building environmental-labor alliances. In her free time, Maya enjoys hiking, biking and attending live music events with her family.
