Leigh has been an educator at all levels of public and private schools and universities. Multiple artist's residencies have allowed her to share and express her passions for water optimization, glass and mosaics. Residencies include the LA Arboretum, Metabolic Studio, New Horizon School, and more. Recognition of her community work has been honored by a Global Citizen Award from the UN, an Angel Award from the LA City Council, an Outstanding Citizen Award from LA County, etc. Those awards were lost along with a lifetime of memories when her home, rental unit and art studio all burned completely in the Eaton Fire. Born in agricultural lands in the Central Valley, moved to Delta Farmland in her teens, and summered in Humbolt County on the N. Fork of the Eel River whenever possible. Her consciousness of water has been a constant throughout her life.
