Samer is an experienced Electrical Engineer with ~10 years in utility and renewables experience in the industry and at the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power. He has supported various solar, distributed energy resource (DER) programs and projects. Samer currently oversees the administration and development of new programs, projects, initiatives, and incentives under the DER umbrella. He is passionate about the energy industry and how to tackle the challenges of achieving 100% clean energy by 2035 in an equitable manner while maintaining a reliable grid and cost-effective rates. Samer leads a team of engineers that supports the Los Angeles City’s sustainability and decarbonization goals. Samer is a licensed Electrical Engineer in the State of California and holds an MBA from the UCI’s Paul Merage School of Business.
