Matt Cremins is the Western Region Political Director for the International Union of Operating Engineers and oversees politics and policy for the IUOE in their 13 state Western Region. Mr. Cremins is additionally the Director of Education and Research for the California-Nevada Conference of Operating Engineers and serves as the lead legislative advocate for the Operating Engineers in California. Prior to his current role with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Mr. Cremins spent nearly 12 years working directly in California’s legislative process. He started his career serving an internship under former Assembly Chief Clerk Dotson Wilson and went on to spend 3 years as the Committee Secretary of the Assembly Budget Committee before serving as a Legislative Aide for former Assemblymembers Rich Gordon and Ed Chau. Mr. Cremins additionally spent 5 years as a legislative advocate for the California-Nevada Conference of Operating Engineers prior to taking on his current role.
